MARCH 2006
SDS Global Logistics Announces
Queens Child Guidance Center Honors SDS President and CEO, Tony Racioppo

March 27, 2006, Flushing, NY- The Queens Child Guidance Center (QCGC), a dynamic, 51-year old family-focused non-profit organization, which serves more than 10,000 children annually, honored Tony Racioppo, President and CEO, of SDS Global Logistics, and three other unique individuals tonight for their continued years of service and giving to the organization.

The QCGC is best known as being a dynamic and effective organization focused on education and family counseling. This reputation of fundamental success has been widely held for many years—so much so, that four years ago, the New York City Department of Mental Health selected the Center to receive its annual agency mental hygiene award, given as a “symbol of service excellence and exceptional program performance.”

Each year, the Center itself, awards those that have not only heeded, but exceeded the call of service for the community. Mr. Racioppo was awarded the distinction for the many years SDS has been on call for the QCGC for all of their events—serving as a quiet provider of the logistics services that are necessary to keep their charitable efforts viable.

Mr. Racioppo, who is currently, or has recently been an officer on 5 different business and community service boards noted at the event that he was truly humbled by the honor. It is estimated that SDS alone, helped raise over $20,000 for the event, which according to Susan Gleason of the Center was by far the most successful fundraiser ever. The other honorees were Joshua Muss, Dr. Bhupendra Patel, and Samuel Freed.
